Biodynamic Agriculture

Biodynamic Agriculture

Biodynamic Agriculture is a holistic farming approach, where the etheric component of the farm is considered along with the farming components. Practicing Biodynamic Farming is said to enhance the quality of the produce, soil and farm enterprises to a great extent. In Biodynamic farming, the farm is considered as a living entity and all the activities are aligned to support and enhance the living being. It involves the use of specialized herbal inputs.

Inputs Used in Biodynamic Agriculture

These inputs used are condensed with etheric forces and will provide the farm with the nourishment it needs. Below is the list of Inputs used in Biodynamic Agriculture:

Cow Horn Manure- BD 500

BD 500 is a preparation made using quality cow dung. BD 500 is made by filling a cow horn with cow dung and burying it under the soil for 6 months. The finished product is a well-fermented cow dung with a good amount of microbial load. Using the BD 500 on the farm will enhance the soil by rejuvenating the soil microbes helping the soil’s physical, chemical and biological activities. It is applied to the farm in the evening before sunset, so the preparation gets time to rest on the soil and get absorbed.

Horn Silica- BD 501

BD 501 is a preparation made using crystal silica(quartz). The crystal is broken down into tiny pieces and filled into a cow horn. The cow horn is buried in the soil for about 6 months, so the silica is revitalized with etheric forces. It is a very powerful preparation that will activate the silica forces in the farm. This preparation is the true enhancement of taste, and flavour in the produce and is applied during the early morning, so, the crystal will enhance the sun’s rays to improve photosynthesis.

BD Compost Preparations (BD 502 to BD 507)

BD Compost Preps are herbal preparations devised by Dr. Rudolf Steiner. These herbal preparations are incorporated in the compost to enhance the quality of the compost in turn enhancing the soil when applied with the compost.

Benefits of Biodynamic Farming

Biodynamic farming improves the soil conditions and enhances the soil

Biodynamically produced cotton is eco-friendly and safe for textiles as no chemicals are being used.

Continuous and timely application of biodynamic inputs reclaims the soil and brings back life in the soil
