About Us
Anandi Eco Farms, a unit of Anandhi Texstyles pvt ltd caters to the sustainable production of cotton by cultivating them without the use of harmful pesticides and fertilizers. This initiative is for the betterment of the farming community by using eco-friendly methods and conserving the local native species. Anandi Eco Farms was started by Mr. R.S. Baalagurunathan D.T.T., Dpm., basically a Textile Technologist who has served the textile industry for more than 20 years.
Our mission
To encourage the farmers to practice organic farming to protect the soil health and prevent environmental degradation
To ensure a fair price is received by paying better through FairTrade to the producer’s cooperative society to improve their livelihoods and well-being
To protect human rights by promoting healthy environmental practices, gender equality and youth participation simultaneously creating awareness for the same through programmes/workshops conducted by FairTrade
To provide an economically stable livelihood and production to the farming families by the management company for organic and FairTrade cotton
Thus, the overall mission of Anandi Eco Farms is to ensure the farmers and their families have a stable improved income in the long run and to help them develop efficient and sustainable farming practices.
Our vision
Our vision is to improve the livelihood of farming families by promoting organic farming and fair prices through FairTrade. This will in turn promote better agricultural practices without the use of fertilizers and pesticides. To develop a system where everyone can contribute to a sustainable way of farming and maintain a better life by receiving fair prices for their commodity.
